- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪When dealing with the sensitive issues that one would face in the field of fetal and maternal medicine, i would expect more discussion with the parents on what may or may not happen in regards to the well being of the infant in utero, what to expect upon the birth of the child, and less discussion about the last vacation he took. I needed to be seen by him because my son has been found to have a duplicate collection system and ventriculomegaly. I have been seeing him since my 20 week ultrasound. Every time I had an ultrasound, then a face to face with him in order to discuss any new findings in said ultrasound. He would take as much effort as to give me about 3-4 sentences about the findings and then change subject to asking where I work, where my husband works, where we are from, and then he would tell us tales of his travels, cars, wealthy friends and any other information that he felt like talking about that was NOT related to my son's health. He would continue to change the conversation to subjects like these after every question myself or my husband would pose in regards to our sons medical issues. What I would suggest is that if you are in the unfortunate position to have to see a specialist because something was found that requires a specialist's attention, that you make sure to let him know that you are more interested in the health and well being of your child and not his stories that are unnecessary, rude and highly unrelateble to 99% of the United States of America. I'm sure he is great at his job in regards to diagnosing, repairing, and/or prescribing things for all kinds of medical issues. However he should know that his lavish lifestyle pales in comparison to the health of a child. I am happy to say my last appointment was yesterday, and that I am glad I probably won't see him again because those people don't come down from their towers unless it's to reap more wealth from the poor.May 01, 2017by Karine Johnson
